Lily Ann’s Nursery reveal
We’re so excited to finally share the nursery we created for Lily Ann with Olivia Demontbreun Interiors. It’s a cozy, neutral space (her gender was a surprise!) filled with love and thoughtful touches, and we’re so happy with how it all turned out.
Family heirlooms and special touches throughout
As soon as you walk in, you see framed pictures of Wilson and me as babies, which instantly makes the space feel so special, along with the most elegant and timeless wallpaper from Sandberg Wallpaper.
Olivia brought in so many family treasures, like Wilson’s old Children’s Illustrated Bible, his Winnie the Pooh book from childhood, a pair of his baby shoes, a baby comb, and a rattle. We also added a few pieces with his initials, JWJ, which is a family tradition—if we had a boy, his initials would have been the same!
The room is also filled with more cherished items passed down from grandparents, adding even more love and history. Our designer had custom art prints created, including one of our dog Elsa, a hot air balloon, and the cloud art above Lily Ann’s crib. We framed my baby shower invitation as a special keepsake. The framed teddy bear next to Wilson’s baby shoes was a thoughtful gift my mother-in-law received at her own baby shower when she was expecting Wilson—how sweet is that? We also framed a photo of my mom as a baby, further tying the room together with even more family love. It’s such a warm, classic space, filled with memories and people we can’t wait to share with Lily Ann!
Lily Ann’s Library
Speaking of books, we added several nursery classics and personal favorites to the collection, alongside the ones from Wilson’s childhood. It was important to me that we find faith-filled children’s books, so Olivia sourced and added those you see here. I wanted these book titles to speak over Lily Ann and serve as a sweet reminder of our God and His love for her. We displayed them all on acrylic shelves, and we absolutely love how they look! Not only do they add a special touch to the room, but they also make it easy to see the covers of each book. If you’d like to add some of our favorites to your little one’s library, we’ve linked them all here!
Under her library is this sweet set of baskets from Ballard Designs - full of extra baby gear and lots and lots of Jellycats - my favorite stuffed animals (and guilty pleasure) for Lily Ann! They are all so soft and such great quality!
dresser and changing station
One of my favorite pieces in the nursery is her large dresser. I’m really intentional about how I organize things for Lily Ann because practicality is key for me, and it’s also BEAUTIFUL! The dresser gives me the perfect space to hold her changing pad and still have room to fold clothes - I prefer that to hanging them up. It’s filled with little socks, hats, clothes and plenty of Coterie diapers and wipes (Our top recommendation! Use code CJN for 20% off!)! It’s a place where I can easily grab what I need and stay organized.
We also thought carefully about the layout, placing hats near her head, socks near her feet and her diaper pail at the end of the dresser closest to the door (not shown). This way, I can go straight from a diaper change to tossing the diaper in the pail without having to reach across the room. We also put our Hatch sound machine by the door to help drown out any noise from the rest of the house. This also makes it easier when we have nurses stay overnight so the sound machine isn’t between them and Lily Ann.
And we can’t forget about the mirror and sconces above the dresser - they beautifully bring this area of the nursery together and the mirror makes the room feel larger and more open!
Every little detail was chosen with love and practicality in mind! Which brings us to our next spot in the nursery and my absolute favorite - our chair/sleeper!
Bench Twin Sleeper
Our favorite piece in her nursery is the chair/twin sleeper from Crate and Barrel that we get asked about constantly. It’s very versatile—it pulls out into a twin bed, making it perfect for mom and dad to rest or for night nurses when they stay over. You can choose from different slipcover colors, but we went with a classic white that keeps the space feeling light and cozy. It’s the perfect spot for snuggling up with the baby, whether it’s for feeding time, reading books, or holding her upright after feeding. We love how it adds both comfort and functionality to the nursery! Pictured below is how it looks normally, and when it’s pulled out for sleep! Cannot recommend it enough!
CRIB
Our crib is from Target, and we absolutely love the classic spindle design—it’s such a timeless piece. It’s a 3-in-1 convertible crib, and we went with the warm white color, which fits perfectly into the nursery. We paired it with a simple white fitted sheet from Kyte Baby. Olivia also ordered these beautiful custom-made bolster pillows for each end of the crib. When Lily Ann isn’t sleeping, we keep the pillows in for a cozy look, but we always take them out when she’s in the crib for safe sleep. They’re the perfect addition to her nursery!
SIDE TABLE AND LAMP
Our side table adds a timeless, traditional touch to the room. It’s a round table with a drop cloth and a circular glass top, creating a simple yet elegant look. The fabric was custom-ordered and tailored just for us, making it a perfect way to personalize the space. It’s a classy yet affordable piece that ties the room together beautifully. We also love the lamp next to the table, strategically placed for easy access next to the sleeper and crib. It’s from Pottery Barn and complements the classic, traditional vibe we’ve created. Together, they really enhance the overall feel of the room.
We’re so happy with how the nursery has come together—it’s truly a space full of love, memories, and thoughtful touches for our sweet girl. We hope you enjoyed this peek into Lily Ann’s room as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it all together!
